| 1 | Remove:
The bottle will have to be relocated using the bracket supplied in the kit. Drill 2, 9mm holes in the diagonal strut, beside the battery in the rear right hand corner of the engine bay. The top hole should be down 100mm from the firewall. The second hole should be 115mm down from the top hole centre. Both measurements should be taken down the centre of the diagonal brace. Paint the holes to prevent rust. Bolt the washer bottle mounting bracket into place as shown in the diagram. Cut the plug off the factory wiring loom, allowing enough wire so the plug can be reconnected. Strip the insulation away from the wires at both the plug end and the loom end. Join the extension loom between the loom and the plug and crimp the joiners. Extend the water tube using the joiners and vacuum hose. |
| 2 | Tape the template in position on the rear corner of the left hand fender. The back edge of the template has a cut out to allow clearance around the door hinge. Use a felt pen to mark the hole positions on the paintwork. Remove the template. |
| 3 | Drill a 4mm pilot hole for each of the hole positions. The hole will have to be through both the inner and outer panels. Open the 3 mounting holes to 16mm using a stepdrill. The main hole should be drilled to 86mm using a holesaw. Deburr all the holes to leave a smooth edge.
N.B: Beware of the computer box while drilling the mounting holes. |
| 4 | Paint all holes to prevent rust. Place a small strip of foam tape on the windscreen frame, towards the top of where the snorkel will meet up. |
| 5 | Remove the 2 side mounting bolts from the upper half of the windscreen hinge using a T40 torx bit. Bolt the upper mounting bracket to the snorkel body using 3, 6mm bolts and washers. Position the snorkel on the vehicle and secure using appropriate hardware. |
| 6 | Remove the air cleaner assembly from the engine bay. Blank off the original air entry hole using the 60mm plug from the inside and the 70mm plug from the outside. Seal both of these plugs with silicone and secure in place using 2, 13mm S/T screws per plug. Inspect the air cleaner body and seal any holes or joints with silicone. |
| 7 | Position the adaptor casting on the side of the air cleaner body near the fastening clips (see diagram). Use a scriber or sharp screw driver to mark the inside hole position on the air cleaner body. Remove the adaptor and use an air hacksaw to cut the new air entry hole in the air cleaner body. |
| 8 | Drill a 4mm hole in each corner of the casting. Place a bead of silicone around the adaptor flange and position the casting on the air cleaner body. Drill the air cleaner to match the adaptor and secure them together using pop rivets. Apply and smear silicone as needed to seal the join. |
| 9 | Refit the air cleaner assembly to the vehicle. Join the snorkel to the air cleaner using the ducting and secure in place using the 60/80 clamps. Sit the air ram on top of the snorkel and secure the clamp. |
| 10 | The front of the snorkel is designed to fit to vehicles equipped with Warn Aftermarket Flares. On vehicles using genuine flares, it is recommended that a neat bead of silicone (black) be applied to hide this relief. |
