| 1 | Remove:
Care should be taken not to lose the rubber “o” ring from between the air cleaner and the air flow monitor. Unbolt the coil, this will have to be relocated to a convenient position. |
| 2 | Tape the template in position on the upper rear corner of the left hand guard. Mark the hole positions with a felt pen. Remove the template. Drill a 4mm pilot hole for each hole. You will need to drill 2 or 3 holes close together to allow the saw blade to penetrate the panel when cutting the main hole. |
| 3 | Drill the 6 mounting holes to 16mm. Tape over the paintwork surrounding the main hole for protection. Cut the main hole using an air hacksaw. (Cut to the outside of the line). Deburr all holes to leave a clean edge. Remove the S/T screw from the guard lip above the main hole. |
| 4 | Screw the stainless steel studs into the front and centre insert positions. Bolt the upper mounting bracket to the snorkel body using three 6mm x 12mm bolts and washers. |
| 5 | Position the snorkel on the vehicle and secure using the appropriate hardware. The upper mounting bracket is held to the pillar by five 4mm pop rivets. |
| 6 | Lubricate inside both ends of the rubber connecting duct. Slide the duct onto the snorkel snout. Slide the allow adapter casting into the other end of the duct. Sit the air cleaner in position and mark the casting location with a scriber. Remove the air cleaner and adapter casting. Remove the air cleaner element. |
| 7 | Sit the casting in place on the air cleaner. Mark the inside hole dimension of the casting on the air cleaner body using a scriber. Cut the new inlet hole using the air hacksaw. Rivet the casting in place and seal the joint with silicone. |
| 8 | Position the steel blank off plate over the original air cleaner entry. Fasten the plate in position using pop rivets. Seal around the plate with silicone. |
| 9 | Refit the air cleaner assembly to the vehicle and fasten the rubber hose with hose clamps. Place the air ram on top of the snorkel and secure the clamp. |
| 10 | Refit the plastic wheelarch liner. |
