On some vehicles it may be necessary to remove/relocate the Bravo badge.
|
| 2 |
Tape the template in position on the upper rear corner of the left hand guard. Using a felt pen, mark the hole positions. Remove the template, then drill a 4mm pilot hole for each position. Cut the main hole to 95mm using a holesaw. Drill the mounting holes to 16mm using a step drill. |
| 3 |
To cut the inner hole, measure back from the radiator support panel 275mm, then down 65mm from the underside of the guard mounting flange. Mark the hole centre, then recheck the measurements. Drill a 4mm pilot hole then use an 89mm holesaw to cut the hole. Deburr all the holes. |
| 4 |
Bolt the upper mounting bracket to the snorkel body. Insert the two mounting studs into the front mounting holes in the back of the snorkel body. Locate the snorkel on the vehicle and mark the upper mounting hole positions on the "A" pillar. Remove the snorkel and drill the holes to 8mm. Remove the mounting bracket from the snorkel body. |
| 5 |
Paint all holes to prevent rust. |
| 6 |
Place rubber edging around the inner hole. Insert plastic plugs into the upper mounting holes. Fasten the upper mounting bracket in position using four self tapping screws. |
| 7 |
Insert the snorkel snout through the main mounting hole and locate the snorkel on the vehicle. Do not fasten. To install the rubber duct, rotate the top of the snorkel upwards and forwards until the snout of the snorkel faces the ground. Be careful the mounting studs do not scratch the paintwork while doing this. Then slide the 70/90 clamp and rubber duct over the snorkel snout. Rotate the snorkel back into position and fasten. The front end of the hose should protrude from the inner hole. Fasten the 70/90 clamp. |
| 8 |
Remove the plastic duct from the air cleaner, then using an air hacksaw, remove the lip from the end of the air cleaner snout. Smear a small bead of silicone over the outside of the air cleaner snout, then slide the adaptor casting into place. Fasten, using 4, 4mm pop rivets. Seal around the outside edge of the casting using silicone. |
| 9 |
Place the 60/80 clamp over the end of the rubber duct. Sit the air cleaner assembly in place with the snout of the adaptor inside the rubber duct. Fasten the 60/80 clamp and air cleaner mounting bolts. |
| 10 |
Refit the guard liner and fasten the air ram in place on top of the snorkel. |
| WARNING: IT IS THE INSTALLERS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE ALL CONNECTIONS ARE WATER TIGHT. |
